FAQs
How does mediation work?
Mediation works by bringing both parties together in a safe, neutral setting with the guidance of a trained mediator. The mediator does not take sides or make decisions but instead helps facilitate open communication, clarify concerns, and explore possible solutions. Through collaboration, the goal is to reach an agreement that is fair, practical, and acceptable to everyone involved.
What are the benefits of mediation?
Mediation offers a faster, more affordable, and confidential way to resolve disputes. It helps parties stay in control of the outcome while reducing stress and preserving important relationships.
Is mediation legally binding?
Mediation itself is not automatically legally binding. However, if both parties reach an agreement, it can be written into a formal settlement or court order, by the mediator, after which it then becomes legally enforceable.
